Who am I?

Hello, I am Gabi Baska…

……a psychologist specialising in systemic therapy. I earned my Master’s Degree in Psychology from the University of Warsaw, focusing on psychotherapy. I then moved to Barcelona to further my studies in Creative Therapy, specifically Dance Movement Therapy, at the Autonomous University of Barcelona, where I learned the importance of body awareness and conscious movement in the healing process.

As a certified Systemic-Relational Therapist trained at Hestia Centre in Barcelona, I aim to understand how dynamics and behaviour patterns influence emotional health. With hands-on experience from various clinics and therapy centres, I continuously enhance my skills through additional training and workshops.

I offer therapy services in Polish, Spanish, and English, providing personalised support in Barcelona. My goal is to create a welcoming and supportive environment for anyone seeking therapy in Barcelona to grow emotionally and improve their well-being.

How I work?

My therapeutic approach is rooted in systemic-relational methods, blending the mind-body connection with experiential tools. Together, we explore your life, emotions, and family dynamics—reflecting on the past, navigating the present, and envisioning a brighter future. As your therapist in Barcelona, I create a safe and supportive space for your growth, where you are the author of your own story.

In the initial sessions, we build trust and establish a therapeutic contract, providing a solid foundation for deeper exploration. Through our therapy in Barcelona, we address underlying issues, process emotions, and break negative cycles. Your therapy goals, whether short-term or long-term, guide our work and can adapt as you grow.

It’s normal to feel hesitant about reaching out or sharing your struggles. As a therapist in Barcelona, I am here to help you uncover and navigate challenges in a compassionate and secure environment. Together, we will create a personalised path that fosters understanding, self-awareness, and emotional strength.

The goal of therapy is simple yet transformative: to strengthen your relationship with yourself and empower your journey. Everyone’s therapeutic process is unique, and this diversity is what makes therapy so meaningful.

What’s my aim?

In therapy in Barcelona, our goal is to deepen your self-awareness, shift perspectives, and unravel the complexities of your inner world and the challenges affecting your daily life. With this understanding, we work together to implement meaningful changes.

Throughout our sessions, we may uncover patterns, emotions, and thoughts that require delicate exploration. Together, we’ll delve into their significance, reorganising where necessary to reduce discomfort and alleviate suffering.

Our conversations will centre on your emotions, relationships, worries, and memories, with therapy sessions tailored to your unique needs. Everyone’s journey is distinct, and our work reflects that individuality.

As your therapist in Barcelona, I use both creative and conventional techniques to help you achieve a deeper understanding and mobilise meaningful changes. If you're interested, we can incorporate somatic practices into the process for a more holistic approach.

To ensure the highest quality of care, my work is continuously supervised.

Your well-being and growth are at the heart of this collaborative journey. Welcome to a space where change begins.

Therapist are also people

Who am I outside of work?

I was born and raised in Poland, and I have a deep passion for psychology and the transformative power of therapy. I believe in helping others understand themselves better and foster emotional growth.

My interest in conscious movement and yoga highlights the importance of connecting with our bodies for healing. After training as a semi-professional dancer in contemporary and classical dance, I changed my life path to examine the brain and behavior by studying psychology, which has since become my new passion.

In my free time, I enjoy hiking in nature and nurturing my many houseplants. Art and music are also significant to me, as they serve as powerful tools for self-expression. I often use cooking as a form of meditation to unwind after a long day.
